Title: THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF ERROR CORRECTION SCHEMES IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS

Abstract: One of the main challenges of wireless sensor networks is the issue of energy efficiency of the network. Based on the transmission characteristics and network structures, because it is necessary to have the error control schemes to provide reliable transmission. Due to hardware limitations and other limitations, error correction schemes are chosen to be of low complexity and low energy consumption as much as possible. In my thesis, I have chosen FEC schemes is the key to solve the problem. Since then prove FEC completely dominant over other schemes in term of error correcting capability and energy efficiency. Here, I've made some mathematical comparisons between FEC and ARQ is to highlight the advantages of FEC in wireless sensor networks.
